Grand Island, NE — Hornady® and the Loup/Platte Pheasants Forever Chapter recently partnered to host a Youth Mentor Pheasant Hunt at Heartland Public Shooting Park on October 11, 2025, in Grand Island, Nebraska.

This special event was designed to educate and inspire young hunters through hands- on learning, mentorship, and conservation. Each youth hunter was paired with an experienced mentor to ensure a safe, ethical, and educational experience.  The event was made possible by a generous grant from the Platte River SCI Chapter, dedicated to supporting youth shooting and hunting programs.

“Supporting this incredible Youth Mentor Hunt was deeply rewarding,” said Jason Hornady, Vice President at Hornady. “The young hunters who joined us this past weekend are the future of hunting, conservation, and the traditions we hold dear.
