Hornady® Sponsored Shooters Excel at THS Steel Challenge
Grand Island, NE — Hornady® congratulates sponsored shooters, Austin Orgain, Clay Blackketter, and Joe Thielen for their performance at the THS Steel Challenge, on July 20, 2024, in Fort Pierre, South Dakota.
Orgain took first place in the Open Division and first place overall shooting Hornady 6.5mm 153 gr. A-Tip® Match bullets.
“The prairies of South Dakota are a great place to shoot a match, but the terrain and winds can make it extremely difficult,” said Orgain. “Hornady A-tip bullets give me the edge in these challenging and variable conditions,” he added.
Teammate Clay Blackketter took second place in the Open Division shooting Hornady 6.5mm 153 gr. A-Tip Match bullets. Hornady Assistant Director of Engineering and avid shooter, Joe Thielen, took Top Tactical shooting Hornady 30 Cal. 174 gr. ELD-VT™ bullets.
A-Tip® Match bullets feature an aluminum tip that’s precision machined and longer than polymer tips, which moves the center of gravity and enhances inflight stability, resulting in tighter groups and reduced drag variability. In addition, A-Tip bullets are sequentially packaged for the ultimate in consistent performance.
