Grand Island, NE — Hornady® 6mm ARC has been named the 2021 Shooting Illustrated Ammunition Product of the Year as part of the National Rifle Associations Publications Golden Bullseye Awards.

The 6mm ARC began with a simple question: What can we do with today’s technology to maximize the performance of the AR-15 platform? After subsequently modeling and testing a variety of designs in different calibers, we were able to produce the most flexible cartridge possible within the limits of the AR-15 system.

Now in their 19th year, the NRA Publications Golden Bullseye Awards acknowledge the finest product available in the shooting sports. The 6mm ARC does what much larger cartridges can and everything that small cartridges can’t. It delivers substantially better ballistics than the 223 Rem. and offers a much lighter gun/ammo system with 30% less weight than the AR-10/308 Win. system.
