Grand Island, NE - Team Hornady® shooters Sean Murphy and Greg Hamilton took first place at the 2019 Snipers Unknown Challenge, September 28-29 in Pelion, South Carolina.

Murphy used Hornady 6mm 110gr. A-Tip™ Match bullets to secure the first place finish and teammate Hamilton used Hornady 22 cal. 75gr. ELD® Match bullets. “Being able to trust our bullets to deliver the performance we need to quickly engage targets is a must!” said Murphy. “We chose this combination to put us at an advantage with the velocities and ballistic coefficients needed over very flat flight paths” Murphy added.

Murphy also won the River Bend Gun Club Run and Gun event earlier this fall. This match involved running between stages while shooting a carbine and pistol. Murphy used Hornady 5.56 NATO 75gr. BTHP Frontier ammunition in his rifle and 9mm 125gr. HAP bullets in his pistol. “The bullets and ammunition performed flawlessly, especially at the rooftop stage where shooters were required to shoot out to 600 yards” said Murphy. “I was able to clean that stage in 43 seconds, nearly half what the next best competitor shot!” Murphy added.
