KINGSVILLE, TX - The consistency of Hornady® ELD® Match bullets gave Jonathan Berry the confidence to win the Rifles Only Brawl Precision Rifle Series match on Feb. 16 and 17 in Kingsville, Texas.

Berry, a Team Hornady® sponsored shooter from Texas, hand-loaded his 6.5 Creedmoor with a 140 gr. ELD® Match bullet and high-quality Hornady® brass to take first place.

"My Hornady 140 gr. ELD Match bullets are incredibly consistent, giving me confidence to hit small targets at long range repeatedly," Berry said. "Having a bullet that performs and stays in tune is essential when competing. My ELD Match bullets do that match after match."

The Rifles Only Brawl, which attracted more than 100 shooters from across the country, consisted of 160 rifle rounds and 40 pistol rounds. The match included rifle targets from 78 to 1,000 yards from prone and barricaded positions across 18 different stages.

"Rifles Only presents a fun, challenging course of fire to test the shooters' fundamentals and problem-solving skills," Berry said.

He pointed out one stage with a 10-inch target at 1,000 yards. In the "switchy" south Texas wind, he had to trust his elevation and make corrections only for the wind.

"The ELD Match performed absolutely perfectly and enabled me to go 6 for 10 on the 1 MOA (Minute of Angle) target," Berry said. "Consistency is king, and Hornady® delivers that, shot after shot."

This was his third Precision Rifle Series win at Rifles Only since he began shooting precision rifle events in 2010.
