Grand Island, NE — Hornady® Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce the hiring of Angela Simdorn as its new Human Resources Director.

She will lead the human resources department in recruitment and retention; employee relations; performance management; compensation management; benefits; employee training and development; and human resources and benefits compliance.

Simdorn comes to Hornady with more than 20 years of human resources executive management experience. She most recently served for 17 years with Global Industries, now Ag Growth International (AGI), in Grand Island.

Raised on a farm in the Boelus and Rockville area, Simdorn graduated from Centura High School. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1995 as a Superior Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

She holds the professional certifications of Senior Professional in Human Resources (HRCI-SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

Simdorn serves on the boards of Hall County Leadership Tomorrow and the Centura Education Foundation. She is a member of the Central Nebraska Human Resource Management Association (CNHRMA) and the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is a member and pianist at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Dannebrog.

She lives in rural Dannebrog with her husband, Jason, and their two children.
