Match Season Off to a Strong Start for Team Hornady
Grand Island, NE – Team Hornady shooters are off to a good start for the competitive match season with strong finishes in several shooting matches.
USPSA Optic Sight National Championships
Team Hornady was represented at the USPSA Optic Sight National Championships held at Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, Florida by five shooters. Ashley Rheuark took home High Lady in the Optics Division and was 18th overall for the weekend. The match consisted of 20 stages that made up what Ashley considered to be a very challenging and exciting match. It had lots of partial targets at various distances, strong and weak hand shooting as well as moving targets. Ashley was using Hornady 125gr HAP bullets with her Glock 34 MOS TTI Combat Master. Doug Koenig (shown below) finished 6th in the Optics Division.
Jessie Duff (below left) garnered 2nd place in the Women’s Open Division, with a 21st placement overall. Andrew Hyder finished 7th in the Open Division and Blake Miguez (below right) finished 9th.
Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun (SMM3G)
The Team Hornady lineup at the Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun (SMM3G) Match in Mesa, Arizona, led an impressive charge with four of the highest finishes. In the Open Division, Jerry Miculek (below left) took 1st place and Maggie Reese (below right) was High Lady.
Keith Garcia (below) took 1st place out of 156 competitors and High Law Enforcement in the Tactical Division.
