Team Hornady® Delivers at the USPSA 2015 Area 3 Championship Match

Team Hornady shooters performed exceptionally well at the 2015 Hornady Area 3 Championship, July 31 through August 2, 2015 in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Andrew Hyder

Andrew Hyder placed first in the Open Division using Hornady 125 grain HAP® bullets in his 38 Super. "It was an honor to come to Nebraska and represent Hornady," said Hyder. "Accuracy is the name of the game, so I choose Hornady bullets because they are the most accurate and reliable bullets in the industry."

Jessie Duff

Jessie Duff used 115 grain HAP® bullets to secure the win for High Lady and 7th overall in the Open division. "The Hornady Area 3 Championship is a challenging match– one that helps me prepare for upcoming championships," said Duff. Through tough stages, the Team Hornady shooter was able to demonstrate her shooting abilities. "The match staff does a great job designing complex stages and runs one of the best area championships!" Duff added.

Nick Greenfield

Rounding out the top 10 in the Open division was, Nick Greenfield.

Doug Koenig

Doug Koenig placed 7th in the Production division using Hornady 9mm 115 grain XTP® American Gunner ammunition.

Hornady® Manufacturing has sponsored the USPSA Area 3 Championship match for the past six years at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska. Match Director, Sherwyn Greenfield and his team, designed 14 stages using props to force the 265 competitors to test the limits of their shooting ability. Whether engaging targets while navigating across a swinging platform, shooting a course holding a 20-pound medicine ball, or engaging targets through 3-inch ports, competitors' shooting skills and mental abilities were tested on every level.

Greenfield added, "The continued support from Hornady has enabled us to see an annual increase in registration. Growth in shooting sports is always positive."
