Team Hornady® was unstoppable among the largest field of shooters ever to compete at the AR15.com/Rockcastle Pro Am 3-Gun Championship, August 23-25, 2013 in Park City, Kentucky. Two thousand acres of unforgiving terrain, and eight Pro stages designed by some of the top three-gunners on the circuit, coupled with a stamina-withering heat index did not deter Team Hornady's® shooting skills or the accuracy of their Hornady® ammo.

Michael Voigt won the Open Division shooting Hornady® 125 HAP® bullets in his 9mm pistol, and Hornady® 75 grain BTHP Match™ and Hornady® 55 grain V-MAX® in his 223 Rem rifle. "The complexity of the stage designs meant I had to be on top of my game," said Voigt. "Shooting dependable ammo was paramount in achieving winning results."

Jerry Miculek turned in a strong performance, finishing second behind Voigt shooting Hornady® 22 cal 60 grain V-MAX® bullets in his M&P-15 rifle, and Hornady® 125 grain HAP® bullets in his 9mm pistol. Miculek explained his choice of ammo, "I shoot Hornady 60 grain V-MAX bullets because they're amazingly accurate in every rifle I have. Hornady HAP bullets are consistently accurate as the 125 grain Hornady XTP bullets, but at a more economical price."

Travis Gibson tightened up the field with a seventh place finish in the Open Division.

Maggie Reese won High Lady in the Open Division shooting Hornady® 125 HAP® bullets in her pistol, and 75 grain BTHP Match™ and Hornady® 55 grain V-MAX® in her rifle. "This match had such an array of targets across the beautiful acreage. And with the heat and humidity, competitors needed endurance and the right equipment to survive," said Reese.

In the Tactical Division, which drew 250 competitors, Keith Garcia finished fourth overall shooting a combination of Hornady® 125 grain HAP® in his 9mm pistol, Hornady® 53 grain Superformance® and 75 grain Match™ ammo in his 223 Rem rifle. Garcia said, "Hornady ammo gives me the accuracy and reliability I need to perform at the highest levels of 3-Gun matches."

Team Hornady® member Dianna Liedorff finished second among the women in her division shooting Hornady® 223 Rem 55 grain Steel Match® ammunition.
