Members of Team Hornady competed at the USPSA Multi-Gun National Championship. The match was held at the Desert Sportsman's Rifle and Pistol Club in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 20-23, 2011. Over 187 of the best in the sport gathered in pursuit of the coveted division titles in: shooting rifle, shotgun and handgun.

Team Hornady member and seasoned shooter, Michael Voigt won the Open Division shooting Hornady 223 Rem 75gr BTHP ammunition. Voigt offered, "I can always count on Hornady bullets to turn in a great performance on these types of targets because of their superb accuracy. The targets presented were pepper poppers, MGM flash targets, LaRue silhouette targets with static and thrown clays."

Team Hornady Members, Barry Dueck and Adam Popplewell, battled it out in the Heavy Optics Division. Dueck won the division title, edging out Adam Popplewell who finished strong in second place. Popplewell used Hornady .40 caliber 180 grain XTP bullets in his pistol and Hornady .308 155 grain Steel Match in his rifle. Popplewell commented, "Both bullets worked great for every type of target that was offered. The 12 stage match was physically demanding because many of the stages spanned multiple bays and our shooting days were from early morning to dusk."

Jessie Harrison and Rob Romero competed in the Tactical Division. Harrison took second and Romero finished fourth overall. Having not shot a multi-gun match in a while, Jessie's selection of ammo was paramount. For the close range rifle targets, she shot Hornady 223 Rem 55 grain V-MAX, and for the long range targets she shot Hornady 223 Rem 75 grain Superformance. Harrison explained, "Because of the long run stages that were up to 360 yards, I needed the heavy bullets that would provide accuracy and with Hornady bullets it's a sure thing every time."
