American Hunter names Precision Hunter® as Ammunition of the Year

Grand Island, NE – Hornady® Manufacturing, a world-renowned leader in bullet, ammunition and reloading tools, received a National Rifle Association (NRA) Publications Golden Bullseye Award during a special ceremony at the 2017 NRA Annual Meetings, April 28-30 in Atlanta, Georgia. Hornady received the award for Precision Hunter® with ELD-X® bullet, which has been chosen as the 2017 Ammunition Product of the Year by American Hunter magazine.

Highly prestigious within the shooting industry, the Golden Bullseye Awards honor the finest products available in the shooting sports. Winners are chosen by a committee of NRA Publication editors and staff with more than a century of collective experience in the firearms industry. Winning criteria includes: products must be recent introductions and available to consumers; feature innovative design and function; meet or exceed field reliability expectations; and demonstrate style befitting the firearm industry as well as good purchase value.

Precision Hunter® is loaded with the ELD-X® bullet, an extremely advanced all-range hunting bullet. Featuring a Heat Shield® tip, the ELD-X® bullet defies the effects of aerodynamic heating and retains its shape to maintain highest-in-class BCs throughout the projectile’s entire trajectory.
