Team Hornady® members combined Hornady® ammo and their diverse and proficient shooting styles to excel in May and June matches across the US and Europe.

Blake Miguez finished second in the Standard Division of the Sixth CZ Extreme Euro Open Match, held May 29-31, 2014 in the Czech Republic. Miguez shot Hornady® 40 cal 200 grain FMJs as he navigated rainy conditions and 30 technically challenging stages of small sized IPSC targets. "Hollow points are not allowed in the Czech Republic," he explained. "Hornady FMJs are consistent and accurate replacements for HAP bullets."

Miguez then traveled to Germany to win the Standard Division of the 2014 Infinity Euro Open, shooting Hornady® 40 cal 200 grain FMJs in an indoor open roof bay format.

Dianna Liedorff won High Lady at the Ninth Annual Midwest 3-Gun Championship in Fayette Mo., on June 8, 2014. A fierce 3-Gun circuit competitor, Liedorff shot Hornady® 223 Rem 75 grain BTHP in her rifle for 10" targets out to 175 yards, and Hornady® 9mm 124 grain FMJ Round Nose reloads in her pistol for closer targets. Liedorff said, "Hornady bullets allow me to successfully neutralize targets, and I know my firearms will shoot solid."

The match featured 10 complex stages designed with real shooting scenarios and straightforward problem solving targets. The University of Missouri Naval ROTC Unit was on hand to reset targets and score performances. To the competitors' relief, the range's wild turkey mascot spared them its usual shooting bay appearance.

Jessie Duff won High Lady in the Single Stack Division at the 2014 Arkansas Sectional Handgun Championship on May 31, 2014. Duff won all 10 stages shooting Hornady® 9mm 115 grain HAP® bullets in her 38 Super Comp pistol. Duff said, "I choose HAP bullets because I know they will be accurate."

The Central Arkansas Shooters Association in Little Rock hosted the Level II match with 10 stages that competitors could shoot in various ways. With the constant downpour of rain, bays were resurfaced with gravel to ensure safe footing. Competitors engaged standard IPSC, poppers and swinger targets set at five yards and out to 25. High speed shooting combined with a fair degree of accuracy draws competitors to this popular match from the mid-south region.
